Go Green, Get Warped: Non Toxic Revolution fuels Vans Warped Tour Eco Trip
This summer the Vans Warped Tour 2011
& the Non Toxic Revolution want concert goers to get excited about recycling and to help lower the tour's carbon footprint! Last year the Warped Eco Initiative
, the music festival's on-site recycling program, helped divert over 30,000 lbs of recyclables from the landfill with the help of volunteers! Pretty amazing, right? That's why the Non Toxic Revolution is teaming up with the Warped Eco Initiative
to take the most eco-friendly Warped Tour fan, band, sponsor and crew to Mexico this fall!
, a sustainable boutique hotel near Zihuatanejo, Mexico, is offering a FREE vacation for 3 nights and 4 days to come down south of the border and hang with the Warped and Keep A Breast staff and crew. Winners get to surf with KAB Ambassadors, eat and enjoy organic locally grown food, learn and practice yoga, explore the permaculture farm/gardens and release baby sea turtles into the wild! Bottom line, they’ll get to kick back off-the-grid, relax on their own private beach, disconnect from the real world and reconnect non-toxically in Mexico!
Winners of the Warped Eco Trip will be selected & judged by Warped Eco Managers, Renee Sharpless & Michael Camino. Winners will be determined by various eco-friendly factors that may include: using bio-diesel, daily recycling, using re-usable water bottles, getting fans involved, volunteering on clean-up day, and much more. The award is for 3 nights and 4 days in the best available room at Playa Viva and includes airfare, airport ground transportation, all meals and beverages, daily on site yoga classes and free wi-fi. So if you're heading out to the Vans Warped Tour this summer make sure to stop by the Warped Eco Initiative tent to do your part!
